An Introduction from Portugal.

Post by anphph »

ex Portucale salutes!

(I only now start this thread, because I only now saw this custom of writing introduction threads! Thankfully, you have apparently a "Better Late Than Never Rule", which fits this greatly. :))

My name is Miguel, and I hail from the far corner of the Empire formerly known as Lusitania, now known as Portugal. I am 17, and started learning Latin roughly 1 year ago. Having adored it so much, I took the university-admission exam for it and am currently taking a Classic Studies course, in which I am also starting Greek (it wasn't required for entry).

Apart from a love for Dead Languages (something that everyone here surely shares), I am also fascinated by poetry of most sorts. One of the reasons I am so eager to learn more Ancient Greek is that I can read both Homer and other Archaic poets in the original language.

Textkit is proving to be a neverending pool of both resources and knowledge, and, not trying to "butter up" :P, I am sure I couldn't have found so much in one place. Very glad I found this.

And I believe this is it. I truly hope we get along well.

Valete!
