I have exciting news! :)

Post by klewlis »

well, it's been a long time coming but I have finally set the direction of my life. I am going back to school. And I am taking Classical Studies. :)

yay!!

I am hoping the University will transfer some credits from my first BA, in order to shorten this one. And then after that, I want to do my masters... hopefully in Italy!

Also, the University of Alberta (where I will be doing my BA), has a satellite program in Cortona, Italy, so I can do a semester there for credit!

I am EXTREMELY excited!

I start in January. Wish me luck! :)

That is exciting news! I hope that you're able to wait the two months until then. Be sure to tell us all how your studies go!

lol I have a TON to do before then, so I'll be busy... including brushing up on my latin, as I'm hoping to challenge the first year... we'll see how it goes!

We are almost in the same situation. I too decided recently to give a direction to my life by going back to school, but in 8 months (in two months I have the admissions exam).

Anyway, muchas felicidades! And may you be able to do, not only your masters, but also your Ph.D.! :D

Vale!

good luck klewlis! I hope this is the right way forward for you.

Italy sounds like quite a challenge, given the distance from home, but you have plenty of time to ponder while you return to the latin and greek!

Congratulations and best wishes. (I won't wish you luck because I don't think you'll need luck.
I don't think you got where you are now by being lucky.)
