Maybe the textkit system only remembers you for a week but we textkittens have not forgotten you.
Same here, I have to log in again repeatedly, but that's just a technical thing. On a individual level no-one is forgotten, I'm sure.

once bellumpaxque stops his oriental playing trip
I'm afraid this may have to wait until I've acquired at least some conversational proficiency in Korean. Fortunately, with a Korean girlfriend, this should be considerably easier...

I do hope to make it back to Oxford with the next few years.

deu., are you trying to lose weight or bodybuild? either way, nutrition comprises most of the strenuous task.
both. I've been losing weight like crazy. really just by running and eating real food rather than all the junk we like to call food. but I need to be able to do pushups all day long and pullups for half that and situps for a day longer :!: , so some really tough physical conditioning awaits... still...
I only have till november 6th untill I ship out.

bellumpaxque - congratulations, thou ol' hund, thou.

Congratulations Epi!

It's so good to know you will start in an university (not just any university by the way) into something you actually like (unlike so many people... err, almost like me). I really hope you enjoy and make good use of your studies in Cambridge

I'm afraid college didn't turn out as I spected. What I am "studying" right now is of no interest to me (but the pensum gets better each semester), and being stressed and pushed to do something is not my ideal of education. Althrough sciences are infinitely interesting - specially physics, which I could not study - I have felt great affinity towards history and archaeology since childhood, but as physics above, didn't have a chance to study that.

So... I'm currently struggling each day to not to kill myself

I have taken electronic engineering, but what I have to study is totally insipid (like totally insipid calculi). I could have taken physics in another city, but studies in physics are not very developed(?) here. I also hope I'll get a degree in what I want, for I always try to study what I like by myself =)

What about welsh? :?: :D

Not very, I'm afraid. I retain less every year.

deu, you have a boat? one time benissimus forced me to watch this dawson's creek episode right, in which joey had to decide whether to stay for the summer with dawson or sail off into the sunset with pacey on his newfound boat. you should watch it, and replicate it, the girl not being a brute, because you would beat me if you did this. i have accumulated a fair few scenes myself, but never something as grand as that. plus i get sea sick and hate fish.
Before thee by two steppes, episcope. Of fish neither am I fond, yet mine sea-legges doth serve me welle.

Congratulations Epi, and yes you certaintly have grown up here.

I have not had to send you a PM warning in quite some time :-) OHH the hours of my time you have wasted in PM arguments about proper forum language and behavior! The language, the avatars, the bannings.. but it was all worth it ;-) LOL

You're a colorful thread of the fabric of this forum and you mentioning the names of the current and departed users is quite touching.

take care,
jeff

deu., are you saying that you actually have done a d. creek?...
nope, femina erat, non rivus. sorry I don't have photographic evidence, so I guess you won't believe. You really should get a sailboat... it's a great workout.

"did I hear an episcopal puppy barking at a dog?"

iocosum ad istum respondens
more of a gentleman than the textkit DOG bellumpaxque!
But anyway, I'll send you a pm about such matters as my abrupt migration, which no doubt are not of much interest to most in the forum. Thanks for asking and I'll respond soon.

how could you annis? surely you would have much use for it?
"Use it or lose it" is fundamental law of all language learning. I have to decide where to spend my time, and Greek usually wins these days. If I came into huge sums of moolah, I'd have more time for Chinese (and Farsi and Arabic and Classical Japanese and maybe even Latin).

Less ironic when you realize I only studied Mandarin because they made me before I could read Confucius and Si-ma Qian.

If we're going for the numbers game, I'd learn Spanish a lot better. I'm much more likely to get good use out of that where I currently live.
