I should add that in the same order I ordered an italian textbook... right now my focus is on italian so the greek and latin may have to wait awhile. :(

Is it suitable for a beginner (me) or does a person have to know Greek quite well to be able to enjoy it?
Bert, honestly I've been preoccupied with other things since I got the book. [snip]
I can report more when I've had more time to look at it if you wish.
If you would, that'd be great. There is no hurry.

And the voiceless-voiced-aspirant pattern of middle chinese initial stops fits perfectly into the greek pattern...
Chuang tzu would be Xiaggos Xios (if we use x- for unaspirated voiceless alveolar affricate)
