The origin of the word "quantum"

Post by Eureka »

I guess this word has a Latin origin.

Can anyone here shed some light on it?

Thanks.

I think it is definitely so. A latin word for "How much."

It is also related to "quantity". And Spanish "Cuando"

In Spanish, the adverb for quantity is "cuanto", not "cuando" (that is "when").
