sentence question
His nuntiis litterisque commotus, Caesar duas legiones Citeriore Gallia novas conscripsit. I can translate the sentence easily but why is the word novas placed where it is in the sentence?

Re: sentence question
His nuntiis litterisque commotus, Caesar duas legiones in Citeriore Gallia novas conscripsit
(De bello Gallico 2.2.1)
It means that in Citeriore Gallia (you missed the preposition) refers specifically to the two new legions, not to the place where Caesar was.

Corrections are welcome (especially for projects).
