Latin Phrases?

Post by benthelefty »

Hey,

I'm new to the forums and the site so I was looking for some help. I'm looking to get a list of Latin Phrases that can be used simply as expressions or slogans. Examples of this would be simple Latin Declarations found at colleges and the likes. "Carpe diam" phrases like that.

Thanks,
Ben

I like that. Was that the motto at the college where they filmed Animal House? (It would be translated as something like "Seize the goddess-like [girl/woman])." Might make for a nice signature, actually...

You could try here, for a start (but there are a bunch of these types of pages out there):

The lists:
G'Oogle and the Internet Pharrchive - 1100 or so free Latin and Greek books.
DownLOEBables - Free books from the Loeb Classical Library
