Lewis & Short search now available on Mycroft

Here you can discuss all things Latin. Use this board to ask questions about grammar, discuss learning strategies, get help with a difficult passage of Latin, and more.

Lewis & Short search now available on Mycroft

Post by furrykef »

I got tired of going to the Perseus website to look up a word in Lewis & Short, so I made a web browser search plugin instead. You can get it from this page (There are a couple of other Perseus plugins there that somebody else made, too. If you search for "Latin", you can also find a couple of plugins for Whitaker's Words, such as "WORDS Latin-English".)

EDIT: Posted a direct link. Removed note about duplicates that is no longer relevant.

Sounds useful, thanks.

I like the version of Lewis and Short that's up at Glossa, which is always quite fast: http://athirdway.com/glossa/
Horae quidem cedunt et dies et menses et anni, nec praeteritum tempus umquam revertitur nec quid sequatur sciri potest. Quod cuique temporis ad vivendum datur, eo debet esse contentus. --Cicero, De Senectute
