Hi,
I am stuck on a question from Mastronarde's Intro. to Attic Greek: Unit 9, Question III.3.
I translated the following:
3. The children urge the tyrant to entrust his fate to the gods.
Answer: Τα παιδια τον τυραννον την μοιραν τοις θεοις επιτρεπειν πειθουσιν.
However, in the answer key, he writes "πειθει" instead of "πειθουσιν". Is this a possible error on M.'s part? "Τα παιδια" is nominative plural, so shouldn't it take a verb in the 3rd person plural?
Thank you.
Error in Mastronarde's Greek?

Welcome to Textkit!
Neuter plurals generally take the verb in the singular.
τὰ παιδία πείθει

Corrections are welcome (especially for projects).
