I'm stumbling around with a translation for Chapter 36 PR 15 and came up with some questions.
The sentence is: Provided that this is done, they will beg us to spare him.
My attempts yielded two versions because I wanted to play with deponents and compare their syntax to a regular verb:
Dummodo hoc fiat, nobis precabuntur ut ei parcamus
Dummodo hoc fiat, nos orabunt ut ei parcamus
1- Did I use the deponent verb correctly in the first sentence? Is this how the Dative of Agent is used?
2- What else did I miss?
Thanks.
