I doubt you have wasted your time. Given enough hindsight our dead-ends often turn into doorways.

Re: Lingua Latina Author Dies

Thank you for sharing this with us edonnelly.

The press release on Mr. Ørberg's death was very moving. I'm certain too that his work and contributions to the teaching of Latin will live on for generations to come in the Latin studies among new learners.

New Anti-Spam Features

I have been working hard all week to clear the forum of spam. It's a cat and mouse game but for now, we are winning. I rewrote the registration page just for giggles because I still get a few human spammers everyday creating accounts. http://www.textkit.com/greek-latin-forum/ucp.php?mode=register <-...

Re: JACT Reading Greek?

I first learned Ancient Greek with JACT. The textbook that's going to work best I think depends a lot on your own skill level with language and grammar and your learning environment (classroom, independent, etc..). JACT's fine but for me, it's not my favorite. I have not opened the textbook in about...

This morning I migrated Textkit to a new server. I have now completed a forum upgrade. With that, there look to be some really solid anti-spam features. (We'll see)...

I will update the forum template in a few minutes to get back in place the traditional Textkit headers and footers.

answers keys are good reminders of how little we have learned. I think if you're an independent learner you need some way to check and measure your progress.

Re: Key to Elementary Greek Exercises

Those keys are very difficult to locate. Is your search restricted to online only? Your best best is to look through British library and used book resources. I don't believe I have ever seen that key available state-side. I'm sure it's here, but not easy to find. All I ever see are the Duckworth rep...

it looks like w/ the new forum search bots all have 'user accounts'. Bots have accounts for reporting features where in admin there's a bot report that shows visit/index activity by bot. I just wish the bots where hidden from the public stat.

Hi
I would encourage you to change from tables and font tags to css which is going to give you much better cross browser consistency. That aside, have you looked at your source code in your main frame? I have never seen so many nested tags.

Hello Textkitters I'm sorry for the forum being down. It's entirely my fault because I didn't keep the phpbb2 forum script updated which led to the script-kiddie hack last week.
