Hi Paul, Welcome to Textkit! I would like to know how I can find out how old Greek words are. When, for example, did the word marathon come into existence? An etymological dictionary should be able to tell you that sort for thing. I don't know if there is one online or not, there might be somewhere....

Assuming your motivation never leaves you and you do actually spend 1 hour a day learning Greek... then it shouldn't take you that long. I'm not sure what to say, maybe 3 years? It really depends how hard you work. If you set yourself a schedule and stick to it and work through one of the books here...

Christmas sneeked up on me this year... only one or two days to got and I didn't have any presents... argh. As I don't watch much TV no x-mas ads or sermons annoyed me, what did though was that all the radio stations just keep playing Christmas songs. So you tune into another radio station and they ...

I still think that SATs are stupid tests. Multiple choice, huh. Here you have to write 8+ pages of French and get a bad grade if you have just a few grammar mistakes in it, plus you only have a French-French dictionary to help you. My French is very bad though, I can't write French for one thing, on...

They don't suspend people from my school, they chuck them out instead, I mean totally. But that happens very rarely. If we just sit around and say we won't ever know anything about anything ever and that it's irrelevant then what is the point in science?
