re macrons,

my version of Spionic has a 'sort of' macron:

a> gives ᾰγτ;
and
i< gives ῐλτ;

there is also a8 that gives α8

but as you can see, one seems rather close to, and the other rather far from the letter

Cheers

Re:JJW exercises, para 118, 120, 133, 143, 152, 163

Thanks Skylax for your sharp eyes & corrections -
I agree that:
- para 143, 1. should read συμμαχους, (but τοις φιλοις I think should stay in the dative, being the indirect object)
- para 152, 5. should definitely be τον
- para 163, 4. should be προς (or even ἐις) τον στρατηγον
I have made the changes in my posting
Cheers & happy Greeking
JWW exercises para 42, 47, 58, 60, 65, 72

Below are my attempts to the English to Greek exercises out of JJW - they may be of use to other starters like me. All corrections welcome of course? once the errors have been ironed out, we could perhaps put together a collective Key to the volume, such has been already started for the Greek to English sections.

Paragraph 42

Paragraph 47

Paragraph 58

Paragraph 60

Paragraph 65

Paragraph 72

Gk & Lat audio

I have come across a site (http://wiredforbooks.org/) that purports to have audio recordings in "Real" format of Book 1 of the Iliad, and Book IV of the Aeneid.
