You know something.... did Saddam punish his people who killed and tortured thousands of people? Now here you let a handfull of crummy dirtbags in uniform destroy the honor of the best fighting force in the world. I am not sure if you knew this but we are bringing all involved to justice. In answer ...

Other Good Language Forums

When first endeavoring to take Latin my intentions were to learn the basic structure and language roots so i could learn other modern day languages. Textkit.com really helped me get through Wheelocks and now I think I have enough basic Latin to learn some modern language. I was wondering, does anyon...

Good Book

For those who want to try and read De Bello Gallico by Caesar after taking Wheelock's I would actually recommend a 2nd year Latin book. Second Year Latin by Jenney Scudder Baade Coffin ISBN: 0-205-07869-9 It actually runs you right through most of De Bello Gallico. It teaches you how to read Caesar ...

My name is Jonathan (age 16) and I am currently learning Latin from Wheelock's 6th Ed., it is quite an interesting language and I am happy to find that other people in the world are taking time to learn it. I am seeking to learn Latin as well as I can, and I am already than...

An Extracurricular Endeavor

Hey I was wondering... I cannot get enough of Latin and i love translating. I am on Chapter 17 and I have done all the Sentence Reviews, Sententia Antiqua, Translated the stories, and i have done all the work for the Wheelock's Workbook. I just got to the third declension... at first i was scared out of my wits, and contemplated abandoning what seemed to be a futile undertaking... but i found a neat way to help you remember them. Ok, take a bunch of index cards or whatever... Write on 5 of them all the cases (exclude the nominative ...

Thanks on the Vulgate help... About the translation... I thought the translation was as you have said also... but "Gallia" is not in the genetive... omnis ([of?] all/entire/whole et cetera) appears to be in the genetive singular (possible ablative/dative, but that would make less sense ) .... ...

Looking for Vulgate Bible

Hello, I am new to this site and a beginner in Latin (using Wheelock's 6th Ed.) I was wondering, does anyone out there know where i can find the Latin Vulgate? I really wish to translate some passages in it. Also, I have been struggling with a line from Caesar's De Bello Gallico; it is actually the ...
