Not at all. It took me from Jan 1 to May 17. But I started the Odyssey topic at the end of my reading of the Iliad, and now I have started the Hesiod topic at the beginning of the Odyssey. :) It's seems like there's limited interest at the moment, so I thought I should give it some time. :) ok that...

while Smyth is the final word, Morwood’s grammar was the one that I used most while learning. My tutor said he wore out two copies while studying at Oxford! The dictionary is pretty handy too, especially since it also has English-Greek if you don’t want to punch up your Woodhouse PDF. I used his Lat...

A paperback version at a somewhat more reasonable price is coming out in a month or two. Judging by the exensive "look inside" preview on Amazon, it seems quite promising:

I've heard Ehrman's monologue over and over again. The guys from Cambridge are clever and amusing as they dance around him, exposing holes in his argument. on Quizlet there are dozens if not hundreds of sets that people have made that you can study from. For example, theres Dickinson frequency lists sets, sets made from all the sections of the "Homeric Vocabularies" book, sets made for specific works or sections, for just book Ω the Iliad, etc.

I love Van Thiel's editions of Homer, beautifully printed, elegantly laid out, and the Iliad is one volume! The recent Teubner printings are so ugly: the bindings, the font, the print quality: all kaka. Of course West is god, and I have his Iliad, but almost never look at it.
