Re: Pre-World War American English Orthography

I've been reading a few pre-WW (both) American English texts lately, and I seem to have found spellings of some words that would now be deemed chiefly British. E.g. learnt spelt honour analyse Of course, I know the -ize for Latin roots was common across the Atlantic until recently, but "learnt" and...

Re: Textkit to Drupal - Any Drupal Pros Here?

Hi Everyone, I could use some help transforming Textkit to a Drupal application. I'm struggling with a few things, which I know I can solve with more time investment, but hoping to find someone here with some Drupal experience. Reply back to this thread if you would like to help me with the modules...

I looked around the net and couldn't find much to indicate that anyone anywhere still speaks or tries to speak anglo-saxon. In what way? Is it superior for the visitors or for the administration? What advantages would it have for the textkit community over what is already here?
Oh, definately. There are so many convieniences in the Admin CP phpBB is child's play.

So far as the Forum is concerned, it is still 'powered' by a particular release of phpBB, and is now looking somewhat oldfashioned, and 'clunky'. There are other free forum softwares available, for example SMF: http://www.simplemachines.org/ which give enhanced functionality. I have some experience...

How about adding a Wiki? One to encompass all that concerns the two languages. Imagine how cute it'll look; "wiki.textkit.com". I think the consensus is that it should be PCbCCWlBoCK.textkit.com (assuming that's not already taken). It's highly unlikely than anyone would be able to take over a subdo...

It looks like the wikibooks one is compatible with biblical Hebrew, though I don't know because I do not speak Hebrew. It does mention in one of the articles "pronnounced like Kay in modern Hebrew" so that leads me to believe that it is in fact biblical Hebrew.

Just install a mod for phpBB called myVIPcode if you can. It completely severed the spam problem on a site I administrate - 500 spammers had registered with 5 registering everyday. The registrations stopped and so did the spam.
