if you squint a bit at the beginning of this reptilian video you'll notice what appears to be one african-american woman at the far side of this audience of oppressed caucasians. in case anyone hasn't noticed there's a candidate running for president of the u.s. who is also inflamed by the terrors o...

hello there! i don't own any of the geoffrey steadman student editions, but i saw one once in a book store and, if memory serves, he provides a heavily annotated version of the text, and also a non-annotated version. i have tired old eyes and remember being impressed by the largeness of the type. no...

hey all, i'm posting my work on chapter one as a separate thread. the first has grown to two pages and other users of the text are both more advanced than i and further along in the text. i don't expect anyone to go backwards into already completed work. i'm posting just as much to push myself into ...

greetings, sorry for such a late reply to your question. as a beginner, perhaps you should not be too conerned about pronunciation at the pitch level, if that makes sense. i have little knowledge on this particular topic, but accents and other marks were added to the texts by later editors (i.e., th...

hi markos! i do particularly love cats, but all critters really. much more than some people. good questions on how to proceed. most sentences are not covered by the answer key (25 of 35 in chapter 1), plus preliminary exercises are also only partially answered. that's a lot of material. as everyone ...

are the works of moses finley still useful or have they been superseded? i was going to get his book on slavery, and maybe some of his books on ancient economies, but thought i should ask if more recent works on these topics are a better bet. thanks in advance if anyone has an opinion.
