question re: spelling in texts

total newbie question haha! I've started attempting to work my way through Krito with the help of Steadman's guide on pdf. I also have the text in an old book. Some of the words don't match, specifically a difference of ξ vs σ. Where my book says ξυνηθης, Steadman's version says συνηθης. As well, ξυ...

Re: Tables possible in Textkit-postings?

hi, welcome here.

You can't do a table in the box, but what you can do is use the CODE tag (see at the top of the text box when you are posting). That makes everything fixed-width so you can align it. Example:

Code: Select all

abcd αβγδ

I can't type out the new lesson today or my 8A answers (wrong computer), so given that two others are catching up, I vote for staying one more week here. I'll try to type out stuff throughout the week.

November is going to be insane for me, so I don't mind if we take things slowly.

It's really not as problematic as you're making it out to be. ;) In the sentences, we have no context. In the absence of context, I use the phrasing that makes most sense to me . Middle Liddell validates my translation. You're allowed to disagree with me, and I with you. No sense getting worked up o...

As far as I can tell, my translation is acceptable.

I don't "have a problem" with your examples, given the right context. It's not how I would normally speak, so without any context to the sentences I will default to the more natural English.
