I have all day today and tomorrow for study and reflection. I plan to do significant study of French For Reading and D'Ooge as well as some reading in Lingua Latina.

Well, I did read some Iliad. Any day for which the preceding sentence holds true is a good day in my book. Good for you! A little of the Iliad is better than none. Today was a washout for me, although I did do some reading from Polybius' Rise of the Roman Empire. (Not on my list but I did it anyway...

My 2 cents: I used Wheelock and grasped big parts but not others. I was definitely distracted by some of the silly stories and asides in the book. Still, though, it wasn't a bad introduction. I then got into D'Ooge and am now in the later stages of it. Everything "took" much better with the reading ...

Today I have far less time. What I would *like* to do: -Mastronarde, Unit 8- finally I'd start with the finite verb. -Creating flash cards for all the vocabulary thus far.
