Jeff, sounds like it's going to be a great site. :) I am from Philadelphia (born) of Puerto Rican descent and currently live in Puerto Rico, and although I have studied Spanish, not just speak it. I consider English my official language and as such I have an English accent. I am not the candidate fo...

BTW, I forgot to mention. There are no class B shares in public hands. Which means, the public shareholders are at a disadvantage when a vote takes place--at 10 votes for every class B share versus 1 vote for a common share.

I like Google. I don't invest in stock, but if I did, I'd probably invest in Google. Google has a problem with its search engine algorithm. Yahoo's new search algorithm is doing a much better job these days. Here is an article about it, Feb. 18, 2004. http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,4149,1530367,00...

Great! I'll take a look at them. I will PM you my e-mail address.

I actually found software with complete maps of ancient Rome, the geography, etc., but the price was about $350.00. Too much for me right now.

Thanks for the link. I had already seen that map. The area I wanted in detail was further north slightly to the east.

I did find that Encarta has a geographical map of the area. At least, that tells me where the mountains, the fields, etc., are.

I need a map of an area of ancient Rome

Hi all, I am writing an epic novel based in ancient Rome and I am researching the heroes ordinary world (where she lives), but can't seem to find a map of the area, hopefully with some detail. I want to place her close to the via salaria in the Sabine area bordering on the city of Rome. If you can h...

quam or et for "than"?

Should quam be more appropriate instead of the first et below? Instead of: Tu es mendax peior, mi amice, et Plauto et Terentio! This: Tu es mendax peior, mi amice, quam Plauto et Terentio! I understand that "et" can be used as "than" as well. Also, "et Plauto et Terentio!", was translated as "than b...

If I wanted to start writing in Latin today, which Latin would be more appropriate? The Classical, Ecclesiastical, or the Neo-Latin? feminae pulchrae is correct, but it means "beautiful women". In some circumstances you could leave the verb out, but typically you would say Feminae sunt pulchrae "Women are beautiful". Don't worry if you're just getting started, you will be able to write sentences in a short time. According to the...
