Re: Rouse's Greek Composition Book

Thanks for providing it (came too late for join the funding). I made a scan, and put the en/greek sentences next to each other. The sentences are now quite carefully proofread. From this I made a so-called "anki deck" (convenient way to review it, also on mobile phones etc., NB: this is free/non-com...

Re: Put Ancient Greek/Latin old readers in a new format.

great project. Just a note: I posted a link to "Fabulae, virginibus puerisque aut narrandae aut recitandae" in the latin part of the forum. If you want to use it, feel free. Generally, I prefer to work on plain-text, as this allows me to extract/copy parts such that I can review them in the train on...

NB: it contains a long list of vocabulary explained in Latin. Very useful for learners imho.

Re: Lucian's Dialogues prepared for schools

Hi, I like the text a lot, but the only copy I found in the internet is missing pages 7-19.

Unfortunately, I can't access the Google books link (geo-blocking, I guess).

Could someone please put a copy in some cloud drive (or similar)? Thank a lot in advance!

Re: Put Ancient Greek/Latin old readers in a new format.

as readers of this thread might be interested as well, a short "off-topic" hint is hopefully ok: in the Latin part of the forum, I posted a like to my scan/proof-read version of "Pons tironum".

Re: Collatinus: lemmatiser and a morphological analyser

it's very useful. I like esp. the dictionaries, in the case of Greek 3 major dictionaries together (with the French one having the advantage that it is a bit less "research" oriented, more for students etc., incl. short hints on etymology), with a "lemma list" on the left hand side (not available in...

Re: Primus Annus / Puer romanus

Thank you. If the pdf is of good quality (the Puer romanus is quite bad -- correspondingly, the plain text is much easier to read), it is mostly checking/correcting the macros (I have a tiny python script for that such that I have to enter only a hash sign for a macron in front of a vowel). Btw: I u...

Re: Put Ancient Greek/Latin old readers in a new format.

Hi, thanks a lot for your scans, esp. Morice's stories. They are of very good quality, but need (as any scan) still some proof-reading. Actually, it is also helpful to do that as one is forced to read the text very carefully. I proof-read the stories you scanned, and corrected quite a few points (so...

Primus Annus / Puer romanus

Hi, I scanned two well-known school books and proof-read them. I'm planning to donate them to Project Gutenberg such that everyone can conveniently download them. As I quite likely missed some scanning errors (incl. macron signs), please let me know all typos you become are of. Thanks for any help i...

Re: Put Ancient Greek/Latin old readers in a new format.

Hi, I’m new to he forum, so I would like to first say “thank you” for providing all these great resources. To return something, I made a scan of Rouse’s “First Greek boy” and included Rouse’s Greek explanation which I like a lot. As I use(d) it for my self-study, it includes German translations (lik...
