Dual language books - beginner

Postby ChrisM » Tue Jul 10, 2018 6:49 pm

I’ve downloaded “Latin for “beginners” from this site. Very useful. One way I learn best as part of the mix is to read books with opposing languages on both pages, so I can scan from one to the other to discern patterns and vocabulary.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Many thanks. Chris

I recommend the Vulgate New Testament to start. It's very simple Latin and you probably already know the story.

You might also do some research into interlinear translations. Listen to this video by Evan Millner, for example.

Thanks for that. I downloaded the Bible today, with parallel text.

I’ve seen some of his videos already, and like that approach. Another for my research. Thanks.
