Hi Isaac
Let me begin by saying that I admire your great and consistent effort in reading.

I have a question about your reading - the reading process from paper to sound.

Do you read from eyes to mouth, in a continuous relay of graphic to sound, or do you form the sound sequences of phrases in your mind first - "hearing" them spoken, then try to get your mouth to copy what you you've "heard"?

Another question that I have is to ask you what system of pronunciation you are following, when you read?

I read through each chapter in English once initially -- after that the corresponding Greek text is automatically internalized in my mind as I'm reading it so that am able to read the Greek almost as readily as I can read the English itself.

Have you also uploaded some of your English recordings on archive.org that I could listen to for comparison?

You are doing very well to be able to switch between languages so quickly. That switching is a real challenge for me.

I'm not sure about the vowel set in your native variety of English, but in mine the reduction of unstressed vowels to a schewa causes me problems for up to 20 minutes after I stop speaking and listening to English. The very un-English sounds that I use for reading both γ and χ do not come naturally or consistently if I have just switched from anither language. The non-diphthongalised vowel (extant in French) prescribed by the Buthian system is also not native to me, and as with those two "foreign" consonants, switching from English to Greek takes quite some time and effort. Another point of weakness in my pronunciation that is exacerbated by switching is aspiration of the stops.

Besides wearing jocks outside of my tights, do you have any tips about how you were able to form your phonemic system so as to be able to switch quickly?
