I can recommend the Danish translation of Caesar by Bo Grønbech, it really is extremely readable and clear, even I would say to Norwegians, his language being neutral and 'conservative'. Thucydides I know nothing of. Grønbech can be found relatively cheap in antiquarian bookstores, probably in Norway too, or at the library.
