Wheelock's Latin - A Comparison of Editions

Postby jamesee0106.latin » Thu Sep 29, 2011 1:28 pm

I have noticed a Wheelock Latin's 6th and 7th Edition selling in bookshops, so does anyone know what's the difference between both editions? And most importantly, is it fine to just get the sixth edition? - Is learning compromised in any manner? Your advice is greatly appreciated!

By all means, get the 6th if it is cheaper. I've made a close comparison of both, and, aside from a few changes in the practice sentences, they are still the same. Except for the section of graffiti (scripta in parietibus) there's nothing new--certainly nothing to justify a new edition.
