Praedicativus textus in Textkit

Post by adrianus »

I think the predictive text editing feature in Textkit is really frustrating. I don't think it can be disabled. It keeps substituting English words for Latin. Anyone else find it annoying?

Praedicativi textûs instrumentum hîc in epistulis componendis tam incommodum esse puto quòd saepè anglica vocabula pro latinis substituuntur. Nisi fallor, id extingui non potest. Quisne alius eo offenditur?
I'm writing in Latin hoping for correction, and not because I'm confident in how I express myself. Latinè scribo ut ab omnibus corrigar, non quod confidenter me exprimam.

Hmmm, I've never noticed it. Where do you see this? I haven't had textkit try to predict anything I type. Does this occur when you make a post to the forum or elsewhere on the site?
The lists:
G'Oogle and the Internet Pharrchive - 1100 or so free Latin and Greek books.
DownLOEBables - Free books from the Loeb Classical Library

Just inside "Post a reply". It's new. That's funny. There's no predictive text there now! One day it appeared; now it's gone.

Solùm in sectione "Responsum mitte" nomine. Novum est. Mirum est! Non jam illîc est textus praedicativus! Quodam die is apparuit, nunc evanuit.

Oh.. How, interesting. Me myself have the problem everywhere since I installed OSX Lion, haha. It tries to correct my mistypings, but, as the Swede I am I’m always mixing Swedish and English everywhere and well, I have to rewrite words a lot. But it does actually catch many of my misspellings, and for that I am forever grateful, especially since it kills every americanism that I accidentally type in.
Här kan jag i alla fall skriva på svenska, eller hur?

Thanks, Hampie. It started to happen after I had installed Lion, too. So it has to do with the browser and Lion, not Textkit.
Gratias, Hampie. Lion systemate interno instructo, id mihi statìm occurrit. Dein res navigatrum systemaque internum non Textkit spectat.
