Based on word-list provided for this exercise, I think "traicere" is the word that should be put on blank field above, but which form of "traicere" should be applied here? "traiecto"? or what?

"quod traiciendum iis erat", ut suspicor. Gerundivum "traiciendum" in spatium relictum [ad vocabulum inscribendum] insertendum est, credo. Sic in sermones anglicos verto: "which was having to be crossed for them", id est, "that they had to cross"
