Bit of an odd pronunciation question

Postby millingcooper » Sat Nov 06, 2010 12:44 am

I know this is going to sound odd, but please indulge me. I'm wondering how one would pronounce "danio" in Greek, as in the little fish they sell in pet stores. I am totally aware (and this is where it gets odd) that the word might not be Greek in origin. However, based on Greek pronunciation rules, how would it be said? I'd also like to know how it would be transposed into Greek letters.

Thanks so much!
