Which accusative is this?

Postby Quis ut Deus » Fri Oct 08, 2010 5:26 pm

Salvete amici amicaeque!

I'm working through Caesar and I was wondering which Accusative construction this is:

It's from Caesar 1.5:

If I understand correctly, "numero ad duodecim" means "numbering 12."

Does this structure have a name?

Gratias maximas vobis ago.

No, "numbering/by number about [as in "towards"] 12" it means. The preposition "ad" takes the accusative as it always does.
I'm writing in Latin hoping for correction, and not because I'm confident in how I express myself.
