I am not familiar with the context at all, but I think τἀκεῖ goes with ἁμαρτόντες (LSJ A.II)
and οὐ μόνον expects the ἀλλὰ καί in the second clause. perhaps something like:
"They have come here not only after they themselves erred in the events there, but also..."

I think you are right,τἀκεῖ=τἀ εκεῖ,modified by ἁμαρτόντες, which parallels the following part. forms.
