The following is from Familia Romana, Chapter 24. Some criticism and advice based on it would be appreciated. Thanks.
LATIN ORIGINAL: Syra iūxtā lectum ad latus puerī laevum cōnsīdit eumque sīc cōnsōlātur: "Nōlī trīstis esse quod hīc intus cubās: immō laetāre tē nōn inclūsum esse in cubiculō ut frātrem tuum! Nec Mārcō licet cum aliīs puerīs lūdere."
TRANSLATION: Syra sat next to the bed by the boy's left side and consoled him in this way: "Don't be sad because you lie here in bed: on the contrary, be glad you are not shut up in the bedroom like your brother. Marcus is not allowed to play with other children."
LATIN ORIGINAL: Quīntus: "Is nōn aegrōtat nec dolōrēs patitur."
TRANSLATION: Quintus: "He's not ill nor does he suffer pain."
LATIN ORIGINAL: Syra: "Etsī valet, certē tergī dolōrēs passus est."
TRANSLATION: Syra: "Even if he is well, certainly he suffered back pain."
So, Thanks for reading this. Can you point out some weak areas I might concentrate on next?

Re: Translation critique please
It all looks fine to me, except that it should be "sits" and "consoles" in the present tense.
Horae quidem cedunt et dies et menses et anni, nec praeteritum tempus umquam revertitur nec quid sequatur sciri potest. Quod cuique temporis ad vivendum datur, eo debet esse contentus. --Cicero, De Senectute
