Σιγμα sued Ταυ

Post by mingshey »

This topic may fit for Open Board,
Yesterday I read Lucian's "The Consonants at Law,"
in which Sigma sues Tau for taking greedily the post of sigma, in the court of vowels.
( I got the Loeb volume from "Internet Archive." )- Lucian (Volume 1)

It's funny after learning a little bit of Greek ,
especially you are acquainted with different dialects for "sea(θάλασσα/θάλαττα)", etc.
And it sheds some light upon the history of the Greek language.

Mingshey, that's a very cruel joke to promise someone Lucian and then give them Caesar.

I guess that this was what mingshey wanted to post:

In the URL above, there are links to volumes 1-7 (of 8) of the Loeb edition. I did not find volume 8, however.
