Interesting Article about Latin Composition

The Bringfield's Head Press (https://perswww.kuleuven.be/~u0044197/BHP/) seeks to publish volumes of contemporary Latin verse, and I was led to their website after seeing an add for a new volume of verse which I would love to buy.

On there website there is a link to an article containing the reflections of an Oxford classicist who writes Latin and Greek occasional verse. I thought a number of people on this forum might be interested. It's an interesting and fast read: http://alumni.jesus.ox.ac.uk/OtiumDidascali.pdf

Bringfield's also has links to essays on "Why write Latin Verse" (https://perswww.kuleuven.be/~u0044197/B ... nverse.pdf), and guides for writing and teaching it.
Horae quidem cedunt et dies et menses et anni, nec praeteritum tempus umquam revertitur nec quid sequatur sciri potest. Quod cuique temporis ad vivendum datur, eo debet esse contentus. --Cicero, De Senectute
