cum and apud.

if cum and apud mean the same thing, way is cum only used with ablatives and apud with accusatives?

It's a rule of grammar that must be obeyed.

I'm writing in Latin hoping for correction, and not because I'm confident in how I express myself. Latinè scribo ut ab omnibus corrigar, non quod confidenter me exprimam.
