Latin sentence translation help?

Postby liz777 » Wed Feb 04, 2009 2:08 am

Here's the sentence: Cur pecuniam puero viso a te in Via Quinta non dedisti.

So far I have: Why didnt you give money to the boy(what does viso mean? it it an adjective)....by you in the fifth road?
It's kind of unclear, any help would be good :)

Also, we had to write this sentence in latin:" I departed from the province on account of the unhappy life which I led there"
I wrote it as:
Excessi ex provincia ob vitam miseram quam duxi ibi.
I know there are some mistakes, but I'm not sure where....

viso is from video and it is a participle(verbal adjective) modifying puero.
