Ch2 Sententia Antiquae Trouble

Postby wackyvorlon » Fri Dec 26, 2008 10:44 pm

Forgive the ignorance, it's been a long time since I dug into my latin books. One of the sententia antiquae from Chapter 2 is giving me some trouble.

Fortunam et vitam antiquae patriae saepe laudas sed recusas.

"You often praise the fortunes and way of life of the ancient fatherland, but you reject it."

I think that's the best I can come up with. Am I on the right track with this thinking?

Looks good to me. Others may offer a variation of your translation, but you've basically got it down.
