Many have asked that I make The Iliad of Homer a Parsed Interlinear Text available as an Ebook or PDF.

For those interested here it is:

http://www.amazon.com/Iliad-Homer-Parse ... bb_product

You can print it out or read and search the text on a computer.

The 1888 Thomas Clark interlinear text of the Iliad is available piece by piece at http://www.ellopos.net/elpenor/greek-te ... -iliad.asp, as well as on Google books. Although one cannot search the pdf because it is in image form, it is quite readable.

Yes but...
The Old - No parsing and English centric word order.

The New - Parsed and Greek centric word order.

I just ordered the CD from Amazon. I also tried your Palm version, although that was just a little bit too much for the small screen. Can't wait!

I don't understand exactly what you mean by that? I was also wondering: will you also make the Odyssey available as PDF?

Oh, and to reassure you: my avatar is only reality about 10 days a year :)

Groet,
As you read through the text feel free to suggest an alternative parsing or gloss. Book 20 was randomly suggested.

The Odyssey is still a year away.

I am very happy to say that I have finally ported the Iliad to the Kindle.
I had to wait for the Kindle team to include Greek fonts in the OS. I also have reformatted the reading direction to reduce white space and flow more smoothly.

It will be available in a few days and I will post the link.

Here is the link

If you don't have a kindle just download the application for PC or Ipad etc.

Thanks
John

PS I also have the LSJ for kindle for those who ask.

I would really like to get Book 22 of this interlinear text, but some of the Greek letters appear as boxes and so I cannot read the text properly.

Amazon issued me a refund, but could do nothing to solve the problem. How would I go about getting a copy of Book 22 of this text?

I do not have a Kindle, but tried to download it onto my mobile phone and my PC.

Thanks.

John,

I'm enjoying your parsed interlinear Iliad on my kindle - it's very easy to read (both in terms of formatting for kindle and in terms of content), and is a terrific tool as a beginner working through Pharr.

Also, you mentioned that you have LSJ available for kindle on request - how does one go about requesting it? I didn't see it on Amazon.

Thanks very much!

James

You are correct that the non Kindle versions don't display Greek fonts properly.
To render correctly you must install a Greek unicode font on your OS.

Hi. I was trying to get a hold of Book 24 from amazon/kindle, but this book unlike the others ( I tried most of them) is listed as 'item unavailable' so I was unable to buy it.
Is there a reason for this?

Hmm, so I suppose it wasn't intentionally not working.
I tried the link and it still didn't work.

I would like a printable pdf, and I'm ready to pay via PayPal
