Notepad flaking out

Post by Lex »

Has anybody had a problem where Notepad in XPPro suddenly decides to display Unicode Greek files (my "homework") as garbage characters? I have a Greek Unicode font (New Athena Unicode) set as the default. When I try to enter Greek into Notepad with the language bar set to EL, it does the same thing.

Can you set a default encoding somewhere?

I tried changing the "Script" setting in the font option of notepad, but it didn't work. I also tried diddling with the language bar options, but nothing worked there either. I moved the files to my laptop; everything works there. Still very strange, though.
