I am surprised. to answer the question, I expected to cost it more than 6 billion. Is this money the sum of 5 decades, and distributed to 20 countries? I'm thinking how much an aircraft carrier costs, and how much Iraq war costs per second. Cern does not make a particle of all these other costs. From all the search in Cern, we could already profit from some side-effects, paying all our costs back, and I'm sure the profit is by fare more than the costs. As concerns the other costs like Iraq and the development of clever bombs, I have my doubt we will ever profit something good at all.
