or can someone of you translate for me the following:

1. colossian, vers 13 & 14

α. γὄἰ........, .... ν and ξ


for the number 1 (one) is it correct there is the letter like for "A"
-> greek letter alpha (α)?

i don't like to have the text of this vers. i like to have the translation of the number 1 then the translation for colossain and the correct word in greek for "vers" etc.

so shortly, how does it looks in greek: 1. colossian, vers 13 & 14

in the web i only found some translation of the NT. but not including the numbers like "1. colossian". i only like to have the translation of the reference.

I am not aware of a book in the NT known as 1. colossian.

Is this for a tattoo? It strikes me as ironic to want to translate the chapter and verse system into Greek, since neither where there in the original. Anyhow, a critical edition will list the pre/post-scripts which have options for the name of the book.

to avraham you don't know the book colossian? it comes in the NT after the book philippians...
the corinthians comes before these books (philippians and colossian)....

Oh! You want the citation form.

Here's a text of the NT: http://koti.24.fi/jusalak/GreekNT/RP2005.htm — it has the chapter names. There's no particular reason not to use normal numerals for chapter and verse numbers. Every edition I've seen uses them.

the numbers i can translate for myself in greek.

The Modern Greek terms for "chapter" and "verse" of the Bible are (suitably archaized) κεφάλαιον and á¼￾δάφιον respectively -- I don't know how long they've been in use, however.

when you look the second letter is Ω ("e" in english because it's the second letter from peter)

NO NO NO! The translation of a word is not the same as the transliteration. (BTW peter in Greek is PETROS not IWANNOY) There is no relationship between the letters of the word in one language with the letters of a translation of that word in another language. Sometimes the words will look alike if the one developed from the other or they developed from the same source.
