I listen to this kind of music, mostly on youtube. Try adding &fmt=18 after any video, to experience high quality.

Of all the music out there, that I listen to, and to some degree, do: I do beatbox, a verbal hip-hop art of making music and imitating hip-hop and some electronic music; I listen to various kinds of renaissance, baroque music, sometimes of later periods than these two, and various other types of music that is appealing enough.

Thanks for sharing those. Actually, I hope to hear from you this week; ScorpioMartianus is about music this week, and I look forward to your input.

I like lute music quite a lot, and even Dowland's lute songs. It takes an act of will to not get a lute myself, actually. I adore Bach. Not a fan of Mozart, whom I generally find insipid, except perhaps for parts of his operas — he sure knew how to write for the female voice.

Today, however, I'm totally grooving on the newest Niyaz album, "Nine Heavens."

Thank you for Niyaz, Will! (Sorry for the thread bumping — it'll be over soon I hope!)

Salve Annis,

You might like to give a listen to Bach on the Nyckelharpa. It's unworldly:

Of course, none of these can match the heights of the Uillean Pipes. Otherwise known by the Romans as the 'tibiae' or 'askaulos' :D

Vale,

Timotheus
