After six years of running a server/bandwidth co-op in a friend's basement (and a little help from a business class network connection) we have decided to retire the machine and go our separate ways. It's no longer cheaper for us to manage this ourselves and the provider of the "business class" connection has irritated us more than enough over the years. So I need to find a new place to host Aoidoi.org.
I'll be doing some research on my own, but I know some other textkittens probably use hosting services. If anyone happens to be insanely happy about a particular provider, I'd love to hear about it. For my needs a service that just hands me my own linux VM would be best — I need to run several daemons constantly for things like Diogenes and I will eventually need to run Hunchentoot in addition to a normal Apache.
