FINALLY, I managed to install the SPIonic font on my computer, so now I can see what all of you are saying when you type in Greek. Installing it was quite simple, once I figured out what in the world they were talking about, but it's a big step for someone who knows next to nothing about computer slang. (It took me forever to realize that I had to click on the little blue hyperlink to "download"...I was looking up and down the site for a neatly labelled "Download" button. ;D)

Finally, it's all Greek to me! ;) :D

Keesa

No more boxes, no more backslashes, nothing but lovely Greek letters. I'm still a bit hesitant when reading them, but thanks to the many techniques for learning the sounds of the Greek letters-by heart, not memory-I no longer have to run and look up each letter. ;D

Keesa

Except for when people don't put the font tag and assume you know what all the characters mean by heart ;o

Of course, in post headings you can't use the font markings.

Congratulations, Keesa!

(and what happened to the 'alpha' button for inserting tags? it works but I can't see the icon.)

As much as I love to confuse you, Bingley, I meant the reply to the post. I understand what the coding means, but I'm not used to reading it like that, and I haven't memorized the accent/breathing mark symbols. ::)

I imagine I'll probably make a lot of silly mistakes while getting them figured out, but it will be worth it in the end.

Keesa
