A Pome - on Scent

This board is a composition workshop, like a writers' workshop: post your work with questions about style or vocabulary, comment on other people's work, post composition challenges on some topic or form, or just dazzle us with your inventive use of galliambics.

A Pome - on Scent

Postby annis » Thu Jun 22, 2006 12:52 am

Sometimes there are salespeople wandering the halls where I work, hunting down doctors they want to try out some fabulous new drug. Some of these people are nice, but there seems to be a subpopulation that devotes too much of their spare time to tanning booths. A very few apparently bathe in their cologne or perfume. It's like someone shoved a lilac up my sinuses.

παντοδαπῶς με τυφλοῖ μύÏ￾ου ὀδμὴ ᾧ σὺ κέχÏ￾ισαι·
κείνης πως ὀδμῆς κÏ￾υπτομένη κακίων;

ὀδμὴ ᾧ I took a Homeric license at the bucolic caesura.

I used to be able to indent. How vexing.

Edit: idiotic typo in second line fixed.
