Quondam homo infirmus erat in nomine Steppani et nutrix eum curabat. Is amicum, quoque infirmum in nomine Crassi, habuit duoque homines saepe de nutrice locuti sunt quod nutrix erat bella gracili cum forma. Sic, primo homine ioco expleto, inquit:
"Crasse, quid appellas nutricem cum genibus immundis?"

"Nescio, Steppane, quid?"

"Caput nutrix!"

Riserunt multum.

quondam Cato, ille austerissimus, ascendens ad Capitolium angusta via, cui obviam descendens hic baiulator magnam arcam fert. dein hic arca Catonem casu pellit, postea clamat, "cave!"
at Cato modo reversus "quor?" inquit, "numquid tu me pellas rursus?"
