JWW excercises 237 and 247

I was busy this las time, but now I'm totally ready:)

here are these excercises, I have a question on the 247.1 as you will see...

237.
the messengers will proceed from the market place to the tents.
1. οἱ ἄγγελοι á¼￾ξ τὴς ἀγοÏ￾á½°Ï‚ εἰς ταῖς σκηναῖς ποÏ￾εÏ￾σονται.
Cyrus and his staff proceed immediately to the palace.
2. ΚῦÏ￾ος καὶ οἱ αμφί αá½￾τὸν ποÏ￾εÏ￾ονται εá½￾θÏ￾Ï‚ παÏ￾á½° τὴν βασιλείαν.
he had a stronghold above the village.
3. ὑπεÏ￾ δὲ τὴς κώμης χωÏ￾ίον ἰσχυÏ￾ὸν εἶχε.
before the battle the generals sacrefied in their tents to the gods.
4. Ï€Ï￾ὸ δὲ τὴς μαχὴς á¼￾ν ταῖς σκηναῖς οἱ στÏ￾ατεγοὶ θεοῖς á¼￾θύσαν.

247.
this thief was dishonored.
1. ὅδε á½￾ κλώψ…
the Cilicians have horses.
2. οἱ Κίλικες ἵππους ἔχουσιν.
The sent Thracian guards.
3. ΘÏ￾ᾴκας φύλακας ἕπεμψε.
the heavy-armed men had breastplates.
4. οἱ á½￾πλίται θώÏ￾ακας εἴχον.
the canal is long and narrow: and upon it is a bridge.
5.ἡ διῶÏ￾υξ μακÏ￾á½° á¼￾στιν καὶ στενή · ὑπεÏ￾ δὲ τοὺτου γέφυÏ￾α á¼￾στίν.

I added some alternative word orders when there was a δέ after a preposition.

237.
the messengers will proceed from the market place to the tents.
1. οἱ ἄγγελοι á¼￾κ (rather kappa before consonant) τῆς ἀγοÏ￾á¾¶Ï‚ εἰς τὰς σκηνὰς (accusative) ποÏ￾εÏ￾σονται.
Cyrus and his staff proceed immediately to the palace.
2. ΚῦÏ￾ος καὶ οἱ ἀμφὶ αá½￾τὸν ποÏ￾εÏ￾ονται εá½￾θὺς παÏ￾á½° τὰ βασίλεια (neuter plural :!: ).
he had a stronghold above the village.
3. ὑπεÏ￾ δὲ τῆς κώμης χωÏ￾ίον ἰσχυÏ￾ὸν εἶχε. / χωÏ￾ίον δ᾽ ὑπεÏ￾ τῆς κώμης ἰσχυÏ￾ὸν εἶχε.

247.

1. ὅδε á½￾ κλὼψ (κλέπτης) ἠτιμάζετο (imperfect) / ἠτιμάσθη (aorist)
the Cilicians have horses.

I loved your word orders in 237.3 and 5 and in 247.5

you speak like aristotle!! :D :D

mine were at least understandables?

and I also realized about the accents :oops: :oops:

I just ignored them!!.. I'm sorry... each day I'm understanding more 8)
