Here they are finally! (No doubt complete with lots of typing errors)

Ex 72

1. ἔλῡον

2. εἴχομεν

3. ἔπεμπετε

4. ἡÏ￾πάζον.

Ex. 74

1. τὰς μῑκÏ￾á½°Ï‚ ἔλῡεν.

2. οá½￾ τὴν φυλακὴν εἰς τὴν γἑφῡÏ￾ήν á¼￾πἑμπομεν.

3. τὰς ἅμαξᾱς á¼¥Ï￾παζον.

4. οá½￾ τὰς στÏ￾ατιὰς á¼￾ξ τῆς κώμης ἔπεμπον.

5. τὴν φυλακήν á¼￾ξ τῶν οικιῶν εις τὴν θάλατταν ἤγεις.

This work looks very sound ! :)

1. ἔλῡον ok

2. εἴχομεν ok

3. á¼￾πέμπετε (accent)

4. á¼￾βούλευε / á¼￾βούλευεν (forgotten)

5. á¼¥Ï￾παζον. (accent)

Ex. 74

1. τὰς σκηνὰς ἔλῡεν. (you said "the small")

2. τὴν φυλακὴν εἰς τὴν γέφῡÏ￾αν οá½￾κ á¼￾πέμπομεν. (preferable word order - γέφῡÏ￾α always alpha see para 62)

3. τὰς á¼￾μάξᾱς á¼¥Ï￾παζον. (accent on á¼￾μάξᾱς)

4. τὴν στÏ￾ατιὰν á¼￾κ τῆς κώμης οá½￾κ ἔπεμπον. ("army" singular - note word order : negation normally in front of the verb)

5. τὴν φυλακὴν á¼￾κ τῶν οἰκιῶν εἰς τὴν θάλατταν ἦγες. (breathings - "you led" note the ending)

τὴν στÏ￾ατιὰν á¼￾κ τῆς κώμης οá½￾κ ἔπεμπον.

Doesn't that mean 'They did not send the army from the village'?

Obviously Skylax may not have seen the original exercise. The question is to translate 'They did not lead the army from the village' which, I think, should be

τὴν στÏ￾ατιὰν á¼￾κ τῆς κώμης οá½￾κ ἦγες.

I think you've got your verbs mixed up Carola

Hi!
I have one little question...

5. you led the guard from the houses to the sea.

5. τὴν φυλακήν á¼￾κ τῶν οἰκίων επὶ τῆς θάλαττης ἤγες

I guess Im having trouble with the use of επὶ, but again my question... will not be better to use επὶ followed by genitive instead of εἰς, to show the "mouvement over" the sea and not just "into" it.??

thanx in advance for your help!

:D :)
