Question about D'Ooge Exercise #111 • II

Hi All,

Number 7 in the English to Latin goes like this:

Question:
Among the Romans (there) is no lack of grain.

Answer:
Apud Romanos inopia frumenti non est (or)
Apud Romanos nulla est inopia frumenti.

Why is Romans in the acc. plural? Shouldn't it be "Romani" for Romans in the plural subject case? Maybe I'm tired from too many hours of review, but I fail to see how this works.

I answered my own question. In the vocabulary list it clearly states "apud, prep with acc." I need to study my vocabulary more carefully.
