3rd declension masculine.yadfothgildloc wrote:Does anyone know the declension of )/ερως?

ἔρως ἔρωτος ἔρωτι ἔρωτα ἔρωτες ἐρῶτων ἔρωσι ἔρωτας
ἔρως is a noun meaning (erotic)love, desire. Or Eros, the god of love. φιλέω is a verb meaning to love (without a sexual conotation.)Yhevhe wrote: Mmm, is there a diference between /Erwj and filhw ?

It can also mean "to kiss", e.g. ἐφίλησα δειρήν "I kissed (her) neck" (Theognis, I, 265)Bert wrote: φιλέω is a verb meaning to love (without a sexual conotation.)

Re: The declension of Love
I see that, as a reminder, the english word 'erotic' suggests the stem is 'erot'.Bert wrote: 3rd declension masculine.

thus erot+s -> eros, erot+os -> erotos, etc. Plus memorizing the accent and that o is actually ω would do the job.
