3rd declension masculine.
[face=SPIonic]e)/rwj
e)/rwtoj
e)/rwti
e)/rwta

e)/rwtej
e)rw=twn
e)/rwsi
e)/rwtaj [/face]

[face=SPIonic]e)/rwj [/face]is a noun meaning (erotic)love, desire. Or Eros, the god of love. [face=SPIonic]file/w[/face] is a verb meaning to love (without a sexual conotation.)

Perhaps you should post that question in the academy. :wink:

It can also mean "to kiss", e.g. [face=SPIonic]e)fi/lhsa deirh/n[/face] "I kissed (her) neck" (Theognis, I, 265)

I see that, as a reminder, the english word 'erotic' suggests the stem is 'erot'.
thus erot+s -> eros, erot+os -> erotos, etc. Plus memorizing the accent and that o is actually [face=SPIonic]w[/face] would do the job.
